Advisory Board

PracticeAdmin regularly consults with physicians, customers, and industry leaders in an effort to guide our development efforts, and produce software that meets our customers current and future needs. In addition to these efforts, PracticeAdmin also has an Advisory Board which demos beta versions of PracticeAdmin software and provides feedback that shapes the software while it is still in the development stages. The PracticeAdmin Advisory Board is a key component to the success of our software, and the high praise we consistently receive from our customers.

Current PracticeAdmin Advisory Board members:

Fred Taute, MD, MBA
Founder, PracticeAdmin

Dr. Fred Taute first conceived of PracticeAdmin in 1999, and spent a decade developing it into the most powerful web-based medical billing and practice management system available at the best possible price. Today, Dr. Taute continues to pursue his original vision by actively participating in PracticeAdmin’s Advisory Board. His clinical knowledge and creativity continue to be driving forces behind the ongoing development of PracticeAdmin software.

Ken Shumard
Chairman of the Board (retired), Medical Doctor Associates

Ken started Medical Doctor Associates, better known as MDA, on his kitchen table in 1987 and over the course of two decades built it into one of the largest companies in the locum tenens staffing industry with greater than $100 million in annual sales. Additionally, Ken has been involved in businesses in many other facets of healthcare including permanent staffing, contract management, consulting, medical billing, and a physician specific internet job board. Ken’s knack for staying out in front of the curve of new developments in healthcare is a key factor in PracticeAdmin software’s high user acceptance rates.
